East Brady native and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was awarded the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance during the ESPYs on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
After accepting the award, Kelly gave a six-minute speech, which included him recognizing his high school football coach at East Brady- Terry Henry.
He encouraged those listening to make a difference in the lives of people around them.
Kelly has been diagnosed with oral cancer three times in the last five years.
