Duquesne defeated Nebraska Omaha 120-112 last night at the Palumbo Center in the opening round of the Continental Basketball Invitational. The Dukes 120 points were a CBI tournament single-game record. They will visit Morehead State in the quarterfinals Monday at 1pm.
Holy Cross defeated Southern 59-55 in a “First Four” game to earn first NCAA men’s basketball tournament win since 1953. The Crusaders will move into the Round of 64 and face number one seed Oregon in a West Region game tomorrow.
Michigan defeated Tulsa 67-62 in the final “First Four” game last night.
The Round of 64 begins today with the opening game featuring UNC Wilmington against Duke at 12:15pm.
