The public is welcome to attend a unique event in Slippery Rock this weekend called a dryland sled dog race.
The Canadian-American Sledders is hosting the event at Coopers Lake Campground beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and concluding by 1 or 2 p.m. in the afternoon both days.
The dogs will be pulling four wheeled racing carts, bicycles, and scooters around the two mile course.
This is a free event that will also include food trucks and a Chinese auction. This is a family friendly event but family pets should not be brought to the race.
