A hotline established nearly two years ago continues to be a valuable resource for Pennsylvania residents seeking drug and alcohol treatment services.
The ‘Get Help Now’ hotline, created by the state Department of Drug and Alcohol, has received more than 30,000 calls since it was launched in November 2016.
Ellen DiDomenico, the acting deputy secretary for the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, says calling the hotline is an important step to getting treatment for those with drug and alcohol abuse problems.
“It’s not just a call number that says ‘here are some other numbers to call’,” she said.
The hotline number is 1-800-662-HELP.
