The case of a McCandless mother accused of drowning her two sons nearly two years ago could be resolved this spring.
Laurel Schlemmer, 42, was in an Allegheny County courtroom Tuesday for a status conference. Schlemmer is due back in court May 5, at which time the case could go to trial or end in a plea agreement.
Police say Schlemmer held two sons (3-year-old Luke and 6-year-old Daniel) underwater in the bathtub at their home just south of Butler County back in April 2014.
