As many are out and about shopping on Black Friday, some may be wondering what the “hot toys” are this year?
Nadine Shingleton is the owner of Playthings, Etc. on Route 8 North near Slippery Rock. She says once again this year- it’s all about drones.
“The en-gage is a hand-censored drone. It’s very small. Smaller than the size of your hand,” Shingleton said. “It’s very interesting. We’re having fun demonstrating it for the customers coming in.”
Other toys that are “in” this year include twisty toys, science kits- including snap circuits- and Harry Potter-themed items are popular again.
Classic toys- like jacks, jump ropes and pogo sticks- are also great gifts to buy that have never go out of style, according to Shingleton.
Shingleton says the people of Playthings try their best to help their customers find the perfect gift.
“We focus on customer service,” she said.
Playthings, Etc. will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The store will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. That schedule will continue through Christmas Eve.
