Law enforcement is encouraging drivers to be extra careful while on the roads this Halloween season.
According to the PA DUI Association, law enforcement will have increased patrols through the end of the month in order to protect pedestrians sometimes dressed in dark costumes.
Reaction times can be significantly reduced if a motorist is under the influence of drugs or alcohol and that fraction of a second could be the difference between life and death.
A DUI conviction could result in fines up to $10,000, loss of driving privileges, legal fees, and towing charges. Pennsylvania has an implied consent law which means that any driver that fails to submit to a breath or blood test will automatically have a one year license suspension.
