Police say a driver was confused when she traveled for several miles on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township in the wrong direction.
The incident happened just before 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
State police say the 77-year-old driver from Renfrew got on I-79 northbound in Cranberry but traveled south for three miles before being stopped by police.
Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. Another driver swerved out of the way and struck a guide rail.
The Renfrew driver was charged. Police say she was confused.
