Charges have been filed stemming from a bicycle vs. car crash earlier this week in Cranberry Township.
David Lohr, 51, of Oak Court is facing aggravated assault and DUI charges after allegedly striking a cyclist and dragging him, causing severe injuries.
The crash happened about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Rochester and Haine School roads, according to police.
Police allege they arrived and found the cyclist “severely injured on the sidewalk.” The biker was identified as 22-year-old Aleksander Teimouri from Cranberry. He was placed on life support once he arrived at the hospital and was taken off of life support late Friday night after doctors were able to find a perfect match for his organs.
The driver- Lohr- was taken to the Butler County Prison. Police allege he had a blood alcohol count of .141 at the time of the crash, which is nearly twice the legal limit of .08.
The family has set up a GoFundMe account for a scholarship in Aleksanders name to help others reach their goals.
