At least one driver will be facing felony charges resulting from a car chase with Butler City Police on Wednesday.
The incident began shortly after 2 p.m. when a city officer observed a suspicious vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. Police say the driver did not stop, and continued traveling onto Route 8 North, reaching unsafe speeds.
The decision was made by a supervising officer to terminate the chase near the Clearview Mall in Center Township.
The two occupants that were in the vehicle are known to officers and have been positively identified. Police say they will be charged when apprehended.
