A driver accused of hitting a woman while she was out jogging will head to trial.
Michael Mesecke was arrested after the incident- which happened in late September on Haine School Road in Cranberry Township.
According to Cranberry Township Police, Mesecke admitted he had been drinking that evening before he got behind the wheel. He also told officers he has no recollection of hitting a 19-year-old woman running along the road. Police say he did not stop at the scene.
The woman was not seriously injured.
Mesecke’s case was held for trial on Friday.
