It’s time for drivers, especially those in the Cranberry area, to pay particular attention to residential speed limits.
Cranberry Township’s week-long Drive 25 campaign begins Wednesday. The campaign is designed to raise awareness of 25-mile-per-hour speed limits as another school year is about to begin.
Yard signs, speed trailers and traffic counters will go up in 29 neighborhoods in the area, along with increased police patrols. The Cranberry Township Community Chest is helping to pay for the costs of the campaign.
Drivers should also remember to stop at least 10 feet away from any school bus with flashing lights, unless it is on the opposite side of a highway barrier. Violators could be fined or have their license suspended.
