Work on the downtown Butler Centre City Parking Garage is rapidly nearing completion.
In the latest update to Butler City Council, the Community Development Corporation engineer reported that change orders and maintenance bonds are being finalized.
The kiosk systems are still being installed to allow for automated parking transactions and some trial and error is expected getting that software functioning properly. An additional $20,000 is needed to move the hardware for the system from the hotel where it was originally planned to the police station but kiosk expenses are still under budget.
The plumbing contract is complete with a credit to the city of $5,000 and other credits are expected once other contractors wrap up their work on the project.
