The Centre City project in downtown Butler continues to progress as anticipated.
The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler heard an update on progress that included an estimated date of completion of the Marriot Springhill Suites hotel in March of 2017.
Although the majority of work has been completed on the new parking garage, crews are still working on handicapped access to the facility as well as parking kiosks. That project is targeted for final completion next month (December).
A meeting with an engineer from the state will be held next week about Centre City to make sure the project is continuing to follow specifications.
