A local man is facing charges following a robbery in the city of Butler.
Christian Snyder, 57, of Butler is accused of walking into the A-Plus convenience store on West Jefferson Street late Tuesday night armed with a knife. He allegedly demanded cash from the clerk, who gave him what was inside- less than $100.
Snyder took off but was soon spotted by police. He’s now facing felony robbery, as well as several misdemeanor charges.
Police say the robbery was captured on video by the store’s surveillance camera. Officials say the weapon used was a 4-to-5-inch kitchen knife.
