Diners at a Cranberry Township restaurant were forced to evacuate Tuesday night due to an electrical issue.
It was about 5 p.m. when someone called 911 to report a strong electrical smell and a power outage in half of the Primanti’s Restaurant on Executive Drive.
Three fire departments were sent to the scene. Firefighters didn’t find a fire or smoke but did find a damaged pole near the restaurant. That was believed to be the cause of the outage and smell.
West Penn Power was dispatched to the scene to fix the pole.
