You have two opportunities to give blood tomorrow and help the American Red Cross, who is experiencing a critical blood shortage.
The Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora will host a summer blood drive tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 23 ) from 12:30pm-6pm. The church is located on Chicora Road (Route 68).
St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on West Jefferson Street in Butler City will also host a blood drive tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 23) from 12pm-530pm.
The Red Cross is gifting anyone who donates blood through the end of August a $5 Amazon gift card.
Officials say the summer months can be among the most challenging times of the year for blood and platelet donations as regular donors delay giving while they take vacations and participate in summer activities.
