There’s still time to participate in a collection for a local food bank.
The St. Vincent dePaul food bank in Butler serves between 800 and 1,000 people on average per month.
Volunteers are currently looking for items including peanut butter, cereal and soup. Money is also being accepted to help get what is needed for their new building. Officials hope to raise $30,000 to purchase a walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler.
St. Vincent dePaul is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and is located on the corner of Elm and North Monroe streets.
