A local organization is accepting donations to help with a project to benefit Butler County residents and visitors.
The Leadership Butler County class of 2020 is attempting to raise $50,000 to install an ADA Accessible Kayak Dock at the South Shore of Moraine State Park.
This EZ brand dock with an EZ Launch System costs $34,000. The remaining $16,000 will be used for community outreach and paving at the site to allow for handicapped parking spaces and public restroom access. Leadership Butler County is a professional development class affiliated with the Butler County Chamber of Commerce.
A fundraiser currently underway is a raffle for a kayak package worth $3,000 that will be drawn on Monday, August 3rd. A Murder Mystery Dinner event is planned for May of 2021. Visit the Leadership Butler County Facebook page for more information.
