Dole Fresh Vegetables has announced a voluntary recall for their packaged salads, but NOT their ready-to-eat salad products, fresh frui,t or field-packed fresh vegetables.
The concern is over possible risk of listeria. Packaging of the packaged salads was completed in processing facilities in Bessemer City, North Carolina and Yuma, Arizona.
To check for the product lot code in question, look in the upper right corner of the package. The letters would begin with N or Y. The “Best if Used By” date is between November 30, 2021 and January 8, 2022.
The FDA says to discard of the product immediately.
The products were sold in a number of states, including Pennsylvania.
