The federal government is unveiling an expansive strategy with the goal of ending human trafficking.
The U.S. Department of Justice’s National Strategy to combat Human Trafficking builds on Operation T.E.N. which stands for Trafficking Ends Now in order to prevent crimes and prosecute those responsible, as well as support and protect victims and survivors.
This multi-year strategy to combat all forms of human trafficking includes strengthening coordination between law enforcement, establish locally led task forces, develop new victim screening protocols, and provide greater assistance to victims of this crime.
Interested community groups are invited to contact the DOJ at 412-644-3500 to request a presentation. Anyone who may be or know of a victim of human trafficking should call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline.
