A new report from the Department of Health shows that most of the hospitalized COVID patients in the state are unvaccinated.
According to the data, right now unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated individuals are accounting for 78 percent of the COVID cases 85 percent of hospitalizations, and 84 percent of the COVID deaths.
Department of Health officials say they are carefully tracking post-vaccination data which they say shows that getting vaccinated against COVID is the most effective way to prevent severe illness and death.
