Do you have unclaimed money?
The Pennsylvania Treasury Department says it has $3.2 billion in unclaimed property and 1 in 10 residents has something waiting for them.
The department says unclaimed property could be abandoned bank accounts, forgotten stocks, uncashed checks and contents of safety deposit boxes that have gone unclaimed for three years or more.
There is a website you can search to see if you have anything out there unclaimed. You can visit that here. You can also call the treasury department at 1-800-222-2046.
The department says in 2017, $254 million in unclaimed property was returned.
