A meeting Wednesday could go a long way toward determining if the Butler Area School District will contract with an outside food service provider next year.
Three different companies will present their plans, along with food samples, at the 5:30 p.m. public meeting Wednesday at the district’s administration building (the Harriger Educational Services Center).
Following a question-and-answer session, if the board decides to narrow their choice to one company they are interested in, the current food service union employees will be given the chance to meet or counter any proposal.
The district must notify the state by June if a change to the food service provider is going to be made.
