The South Butler School District and the teachers’ union are expected to meet Monday night for yet another bargaining session.
The two sides last met last Wednesday for a six-hour negotiating session, according to an update posted on the district’s website. Both sides exchanged formal proposals and informal counterproposals but an agreement was not reached.
The district’s 168 teachers have been working under terms of an expired contract since 2014. The teachers’ union announced earlier this month that if a deal is not reached, they will strike at the beginning of the workday on Thursday, March 15.
