The District 9 basketball playoffs begin this week. The Karns City boys will face Brockway Thursday in the opening round at Claron high school. The Karns City girls are the top seed in Double-A and have an opening round “bye”. The Moniteau girls are the number-two seed and will meet Redbank Valley. Site and time to be determined.
The Knoch and Butler Boys Basketball seasons came to a close over the weekend in the WPIAL playoffs.
Butler fell to Penn Hills 64-46 Saturday. Knoch lost to Montour 49-38 Friday.
