A week of fundraising activities for breast cancer research at Butler County Community College will conclude with an upcoming event.
The first Project Pink week on BC3’s campus wraps up with a Dig Pink volleyball game at 6 p.m. on Friday in the Field House.
The Pioneers will swap their regular blue and white uniforms for pink ones during the contest and those who attend will have the chance to participate in gift basket raffles, donation buckets, and 50/50 drawings. In addition, Dig Pink shirts will be sold and visitors will be able to sample pink-iced cookies.
BC3 has contributed nearly $16,000 over the past nine years, including over $3,000 last year, to the Side-Out Foundation charity that raises awareness and funds treatment of breast cancer.
Those unable to attend are still invited to donate to the cause through the Side-Out Foundation website.
