A detached garage in Muddy Creek Township was severely damaged as a result of a fire early Tuesday morning.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 4 a.m. for a fire in the 100 block of Walker Road.
Firefighters from Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department were joined at the scene by those from Prospect, Harmony, Slippery Rock, and others. The structure was fully involved but crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
The cause of that fire is unknown at this time. Crews remained on the scene until around 7 a.m.
