Pennsylvania is using federal relief money to help the nursing shortage in the state.
The Department of Labor and Industry announced that $700,000 is being set aside for nursing apprenticeships in the Pennsylvania. The funds come from the American Rescue Plan and will be distributed through three nursing pathway programs.
State labor officials say this will help address shortages in the nursing workforce.
