The number of deer harvested this past season is down compared to previous years.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission said there were around 376,000 deer harvested during the 2021-22 hunting season; that’s down 13 percent from last year.
In the two wildlife management units that are a part of Butler County, an estimated 36,000 deer were harvested. Those two units however consists of other counties other than Butler.
