Another business is moving into downtown Butler.
Wednesday will be the first day of business for Deer Creek Winery at its newest location inside the Penn Theater on Main Street.
The winery used to be located inside the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Regional Manager Jaqueline Schurr said the winery’s last day at the mall was Tuesday. There are several other Deer Creek locations throughout the region.
Patrons will not have to walk into the theater itself to get to the winery. There is an outside door to the location.
The future of the Penn Theater itself is unclear. The Penn Theater is owned by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler but money is still owed on that purchase to the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.
