The deadline for a state budget is fast approaching and so far no plan has been unveiled.
Leaders from the Republican-controlled state House and Senate say they continuing closed-door discussions with Democrat Governor Tom Wolf’s office, however some described the two sides as “still far apart.”
The AP is reporting that most of the talks have centered around the amount of funding for public education.
If the state does not sign a new budget into law by Friday, it will lose some of its spending authority.
