The state’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is looking for nomination for the Trail of the Year.
The annual competition seeks trails that provide unique terrain and is a positive influence in the community.
The winning trail is recognized by the DCNR and receives a trailhead marker along the trail.
The DCNR says the Commonwealth has more than 12,000 miles of trails.
