Daytona International Speedway will salute three recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor during this year’s Coke Zero 400 Weekend Powered by Coca-Cola. One of the honorees served in the Vietnam War and the two others in Afghanistan. They are: Command Sergeant Major Gary Littrell, U.S. Army … Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta, U.S. Army … and Staff Sergeant Ryan Pitts, also U.S. Army. This is the seventh consecutive year the Speedway has honored Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. They’ll be recognized during a special luncheon on Saturday, July 4th; will attend drivers meetings; and participate in pre-race ceremonies for both the Subway Firecracker 250 X-FINITY Series race on Saturday, July 4th, and the Coke Zero 400 Powered by Coca-Cola Sprint Cup race on Sunday, July 5th.
