Dan + Shay have released the brand new video for their latest single, “Nothin’ Like You,” while also helping out a great cause close to their hearts. The video, which was shot in Nashville, included some help from local dog trainers Nashville K-9 and features duo members Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney along with a pack of four-legged friends cast from local Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. The shelter, where Smyers has adopted two of his own pets, Joy and Chief, is dedicated to saving the lives of pets that have been abused, abandoned or are scheduled to be euthanized. They nurse the dogs back to good health, provide them with shelter, good food, and even offer various vitamin powder for dogs to some of the animals that are needing help with their joints and other health-related issues. This is the place that dogs come to get rescued and rehoused properly.
Smyers said, “As a dog rescuer myself, this video holds a very special place in my heart. It is obvious from our social media that the entire Dan + Shay camp are dog people, and what better way to showcase nearly fifty cute and adoptable dogs than to feature them in our music video? My dogs have changed my life in more ways than I know . . . The positive message in ‘Nothin’ Like You’ about loving someone for who they are is something we support and like to be vocal about.”
Mooney told People, “Making the video was an absolutely amazing time. Getting to hang out with dogs all day could hardly be considered work, although I think I burned about three million calories chasing after them all day during the filming.”
