The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17 last night at Acrisure Stadium. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hit Jalen Tolbert for the game-winning touchdown with 20 seconds remaining in the game, capping a 15-play drive. The Steelers had taken the lead 17-13 with a Pat Freiermuth score on a shovel pass from quarterback Justin Fields with just under five minutes remaining in the game. After Dallas had a 6-3 lead at the half, the Steelers took their first lead in the game of 10-6 in the third quarter when Fields connected with Connor Heyward on a 16-yard touchdown pass.
Last night’s game was delayed 90 minutes due to a thunderstorm. The game ended just before 1am this morning (Monday).
The Steelers have now lost two straight, and are tied with Baltimore for first place in the AFC North at 3-2. The Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 41-38 in overtime Sunday afternoon. The Bengals dropped to 1-4 this season, and are tied with Cleveland, who lost 34-13 to Washington yesterday.
The Steelers visit the Las Vegas Raiders for a 4:05pm kick-off this Sunday. The Raiders are 2-3 this season after losing to Denver 34-18 yesterday.
Steelers linebacker T. J. Watt became the second-fastest to 100 career sacks during the game. It was his 109th career regular-season game.
Tonight in Monday Night Football – The Kansas City Chiefs host the New Orleans Saints. Kick-off is 8:15pm.
