The Cranberry Township Community Chest has announced the 2020 Project of the Year will be improvements to the Rotary Amphitheatre in Community Park.
All of the project’s details have not yet been finalized but enhancements will include an extension of the 17-year-old structure’s roof-line and performance area.
The Rotary Amphitheatre has been a venue for many concerts and other presentations but some of the limitations of the facility have resulted in rain-related cancellations.
Depending on final budget and fundraising results, the project could also include enhancing soundboards, upgrading electric service, adding lights, enhancing the façade, sidewalk connections, and improved vehicle access.
