A ceremony to mark the beginning of a major renovation project in Cranberry will be held Saturday.
A groundbreaking for the 2016 Cranberry Township Community Chest Project of the Year is scheduled for 8:40 a.m. at the Miracle League ball field.
The work is expected to cost $600,000 and will include resurfacing of the current field and creation of an adjacent baseball themed playground.
Representatives from partners including Pirates Charities and the Seneca Valley Student Council will be on hand.
Also present will be a new fire safety training trailer purchased as part of last year’s Cranberry Township Community Chest project.
