The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Washington Capitals 3-2 last night in Game One of their Stanley Cup Playoff Series. Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel continued their playoff run with goals. Both have seven goals each over the Penguins seven playoff games thus far. Patric Hornqvist scored the other Penguins goal. Matt Murray allowed both Washington goals within the first :30 seconds of the first and third periods, but stopped the other 32 shots by the Caps in the victory.
Game Two is Sunday in Washington. Face-off will be 3pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 2:30pm.
The Pens played without Evgeni Malkin and Carl Hagelin, although Malkin participated in the morning skate Thursday.
