Crews worked over the weekend to rescue a stranded truck from a Summit Township frozen pond.
First responders were called to the scene on Bonniebrook Road at 9 a.m. Sunday after a passerby spotted the pickup truck and called 911. However, when crews got there, they found the truck in the pond, but no one around.
After searching the area, state police got in contact with the truck’s owner, who reportedly told them he had left the truck there after getting it stuck the night before.
Several tow trucks reportedly worked for a couple hours to pull the vehicle from the pond. It had partially broken through the ice.
