Drivers in Clinton Township will notice signs and equipment near what’s known as ‘Cox’s Corner’ as crews begin preparing for construction of a roundabout.
The Route 228 Cox’s Corner project- which will reconfigure the intersection of Route 228 East and Saxonburg Boulevard- will officially begin this fall with the installation of cross pipes. PennDOT says no lane restrictions will occur during the morning rush (between 6am-9am).
Utility relocation and excavation work will happen throughout the winter.
This is a $5.5 million project that won’t be completed until November 2017.
