Over 1,200 Butler County residents are without power Friday afternoon.
West Penn Spokesman Todd Meyers says the outage happened about 11:20 a.m. and is causing disruptions north and east of Butler City. Most of the outages are in Center Township.
“A circuit is out at one of our substations,” Meyers said. “The substation is the Oneida circuit, it covers areas north and east of the city, areas on Route 38 and Route 308.”
Meyers says crews are unsure at this point what is causing the outages but they are on scene investigating.
