Firefighters worked to battle a blaze at a single story residence in Cranberry Township Thursday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 2 p.m. from a neighbor who observed a structure fire on Robinhood Drive.
Crews from Cranberry, Callery, and Harmony were among those arriving on the scene to find flames visible from two sides and the back bedroom. Neighbors described the resident as a recluse and it is not known if that person was home when the blaze began.
Both the cause of the fire and the amount of damage are unknown at this time.
