A busy intersection in Center Township is once again open after two tractor-trailers pulled down power lines on Wednesday.
Just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, officials say a truck pulling an oversized load north on Route 8, at Mercer Road, hit a signal, causing the other lines to sag. A second truck hit one of the sagging lines.
In total, five traffic signals were affected. Two were completely destroyed.
Crews were immediately dispatched to work on repairs and those repairs were completed Thursday afternoon.
