Local firefighters battled several grass fires Monday afternoon around the Butler County area.
First, at least two departments were called to an area off Decatur Drive in Butler Township just before noon (11:50am). By 12:30 p.m., that fire was reportedly ‘under control.’
Additional calls for brush fires came in from Forward Township just before 2 p.m., Connoquenessing Township just after 2 p.m., and Donegal Township around 3 p.m.
None of the fires caused any serious damage to structures. Also, no one is believed to have been injured by these fires.
