There were two crashes in nearly the exact same location Tuesday morning.
Both crashes involved vehicle rollovers on Rt. 8 in Clay Township. They happened within four hours of each other. Neither driver was injured.
The first crash happened about 4:30 a.m. just north of Route 138 (Euclid Road). The second happened about 8 a.m. just south of Route 138 (Euclid Road).
West Sunbury Fire Chief Matt Wilson said in both cases, only one vehicle was involved. Firefighters were called out to help with traffic. They did not have to close Route 8. They directed traffic around both accidents.
“Neither driver was injured and no one was taken to the hospital,” Wilson said. “We don’t believe ice was a factor. There was a little bit of fog.”
Crews were also called out Tuesday morning to accidents on Powell Road in Cranberry Township, South Benbrook Road in Center Township and two crashes on Interstate 79 just south of the Butler County line- one in the northbound lanes and a second in the southbound lanes. No major injuries have been reported.
