A Pennsylvania State Police trooper is recovering after a crash Wednesday morning in Butler Township.
The accident happened just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of New Castle and North Duffy roads.
According to State Police, the unidentified trooper was traveling to a crash in Center Township, engaging lights and sirens as well as slowing down while going through the intersection. A fully loaded tractor trailer driven by an Ohio man struck the trooper. The trooper was taken to the hospital and later released. The Ohio man was not injured and his truck was driven from the scene.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
