It’s back to school for students in the Seneca Valley School District Tuesday which also means it’s a good time for drivers to slow down.
Cranberry Township’s ‘Drive 25’ campaign is again underway in 25 neighborhoods across the township. The goal is to remind drivers that 25 miles per hour is the speed limit in all residential areas in Cranberry.
Officials say the start of school typically brings more children and pets onto and around township roadways during peak commuting hours.
Drivers will notice more police officers watching the roads- as well as yard signs, speed trailers and traffic counters- reminding them to drive slow and be alert.
Seneca Valley’s new school year started later than normal this year due to roadwork near the district’s high and middle schools in Jackson Township.
