A Cranberry Township woman has been charged after an incident in which she allegedly used drugs to frame her daughter’s classmate.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Cranberry Township Police, 42-year-old Traci Pitt is facing charges including felony burglary, criminal trespass, and possession of a controlled substance.
Administrators at North Catholic High School called police October 8th after an anonymous female later identified as Pitt called the school to report that a 14-year-old student was selling marijuana to other students. Administrators did find a marijuana cigarette in the girl’s backpack. The investigation also revealed that the girl’s parents had recently found another marijuana cigarette in their house. Pitt is accused of entering the house and planting the drugs so the girl would get in trouble.
Pitt had a preliminary hearing last Friday and the case has been waived to the higher court for another hearing December 18th.
