A new fire truck will be coming to the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department.
However, the order will have to wait for a couple of years. Township officials approved the order of a new engine for 2024.
The wait is due in part to a backlog of fire truck orders—which township officials say are currently running 24 months.
The new truck will replace a 1989 fire engine the company is currently using. Once the new truck arrives, the township may donate the 1989 engine to BC3’s fire education department.
